Moon’s Creations celebrated its 5 year anniversary this March. As is tradition, I’ve created a special edition Tsuki Moon Bun commemorating this event!

Awesome etsy right here, Moon Creations makes adorable amigurumis. I’d definitely check out the store if I were you.
Personally, I’m just dying to get my hands on the one above. :3

●Like or reblog once Likes and reblogs count in this drawing! You may reblog and like only once. I don’t want you to have to spam your dashboard with my shit.
●Keep your ask box open. If you win and your ask box is closed then LOL sorry… I will be notifying you through that method.
● Reply within 48 hours. If you don’t reply within 48 hours with some form of life I will move on to the next winner.
● Please have references at the ready and know who you want. Please request a cute/girly character because that is how they will end up anyway. (MEANING DO NOT TROLL ME WITH A MANLY OR BURLY CHARACTER I don’t have time for that)
● I will do a chibi couple on the same canvas if both characters are simple enough. If I find them too detailed I will request to draw a single character. The couple in this giveaway image should be your benchmark.
● I have the right to choose another winner if you are being difficult to communicate with.
● You do not have the right to use the chibi for commercial use. You may use it for personal uses and you cannot claim that you drew it.
I will do…✚ Cute, pretty, and young characters✚ BL, GL, Straight
I will not do…✖ Mecha✖ Characters with extreme muscle definition✖ Full-blown anthro (I can do ears, tails, animal feet, and small snouts. it doesn’t hurt to ask!)
I think that’s all I need to note! Thank you and I will always appreciate everyone’s support!

This is a really awesome video. Many kudos and thumbs up to this wonderful painter. The end result is like no other normal painting.

Basically he achieves a 3D style traditional-way of painting by painting inbetween layers of resin.

In the dangerous jungle of deviantART, there lives a certain species of artists known as the “artistus copycatus” (I’m really sorry, all of you science people out there.) In their regular habitat, they observe intently, while admiring their favorite “artistus popularus” in an attempt to mimic their every technique. The artistus copycatus often flock within the same fandoms as the artistus popularus as well. As a result, these young beings function as complete and total ripoffs of their “idols”, despite not being aware of what they’re doing. Some, the more extreme copycatus, even mimic phrases or habits of the artistus popularus (I’ve seen this before. Scared me shitless.) The idea of trying techniques/styles/mediums other than what their “idols” use terrifies them. As a result, the artistus copycatus never attempt to individualize their art. This species flocks within the dangerous deviantART. Be warned, brave travelers!
Seriously, I see this too often nowadays. I understand that taking from successful artists’ styles/techniques helps with development, but that isn’t an excuse to completely and totally rip off a style that took years to develop. Especially if you don’t really know what you’re doing. Trust me, I’ve been dangerously close to there. (I’m still trying to find my own style too!) To all of those artistus copycatus’ out there, don’t be afraid to try other things. That’s what really helps you develop into the artist you want to be!

Them Namietards and lulutards.

^ This. And so many others.
I don’t have my own style yet (I think), but at least I don’t copy any popular artist’s style ;3;

I’m one of them. Imma just gonna dig a hole and die~ :V
THIS IS SO TRUE

….. That awkward moment someone said not a copycat but actually a copycat but not admit it….. OWAIT a copycat will NEVER admit s/he a copycat riiiight? Sorry.. My bad -w-
^ THIS! i hate copycats and i hate it even more when they don’t admit to this!

I’ll admit, I used to be one, from copying anime artist styles to DA artists I admired, but in the end I learned to develop my own way of drawing from them. All artists have learned from someone else who they’ve looked up to. I think it’s fine to experiment; we all started off by attempting our stab at the art by others. What I don’t think is fine is to continuously and obviously copy the artist and claim the style to be unique and yours.
I think from experiments people should incorporate their own style and tweak a bit until they’ve come up with a style that’s inspired but not an exact copy.
With that being said, at the time, style-stealing seems to be rather stupid as nothing is truly unique anymore.
