Well welll, I got a message from Burniikay today:
Hi Ann! :) Sorry to bother you, but we have another issue! And this one’s kind of unique. It’s no ordinary art theft. It’s not like they took art and just simply erased the watermarks… no no no.
This girl, she takes art and edits them and gives credit to herself.
So I went to check it out. At first, I thought it was just her taking people’s art and watermarking it…but actually she’s copying/tracing doodles and taking credit for it. It’s not just the concept or idea of the drawings being used, but literally, an exact replica of it. Obviously that’s not as terrible as taking the original and taking credit but it’s bad enough to the point where it needs to be brought up. What I find rather pathetic is this is being done by a 21 year-old who should know this is a no-no and she’s not a new user to tumblr, she’s been here since 2009… >_>
So heads up, doodlers, might want to keep her page in view for a few days…you doodle may end up on there. If your doodle happens to be one she copied/stole I suggest messaging her about it, all I will be doing anyways but it’s always good for an artist to stand up for their own work though.
Anyways, this is what I’m talking about:
Original by Tinydolls:
Original by Chibird:
Copied (maybe even poorly traced) version:

Good Lord, she has balls, she has a Deviantart too: http://afinesetoflimbs.deviantart.com/
I just messaged her, click below to see it.
Well, where to start. This evening I got a message regarding your blog:
"Hi Ann! :) Sorry to bother you, but we have another issue! And this one’s kind of unique. It’s no ordinary art theft. It’s not like they took art and just simply erased the watermarks… no no no.

So this is what I’m here for, to ask you to remove those. Now, before you defend yourself “I stole nothing, I drew those”, yes, yes you did but they’re copies of other doodler’s art. It’s not the idea you’re taking but actually making replicas, same message, style, character, and outfits and slapping your watermark on it and calling it yours. That’s not how it works. Tracing and copying is a big no, you should know this, you’re 21; ever heard of plagiarism? It doesn’t refer to just writing, you know, it’s the same deal with art too. What you’re doing is wrong and highly disrespectful. Have some pride in what you do and be original, if not with the idea, but at least with what you’re doing (in this case, doodles). How would you like it if you made something and someone either stole it or copied it and got credit for it? Not so fun, now is it?
Please remove the works, even if you drew them they’re not yours and the artists probably won’t be very happy about it, it’s not flattering at all…
Have a look at this (from Wikipedia):
"Copyright infringement is the unauthorized or prohibited use of works under copyright, infringing the copyright holder’s exclusive rights, such as the right to reproduce or perform the copyrighted work, or to make derivative works."
"More recently copyright holders have demanded that states provide criminal sanctions for all types of copyright infringement"
Also, I suggest learning the difference between refereing, copying, and tracing:
